My name is Melissa Egan and I am an Art Director, Graphic Designer and Illustrator. I have over 10 years of design and marketing experience in both agency and in-house design, as well as environmental design for Anthropologie. I recently moved to Chicago from Portland, OR with my wonderful husband and our little pug. Most of my free time is spent cooking, watching b-movies, and helping my husband collect Top Gun VHS.
Having a background in graphic design and marketing has helped me view designing as creative problem solving. I believe the right combination of strategy, instinct, and imagination produces an innovative and effective design solution. Exceeding the expectations of a client is the most rewarding part of being a designer. I believe every design piece has the potential to engage and surprise both the client and the consumer.
My work has been featured in Martha Stewart Living, Seventeen Magazine, Sunset Magazine, Vougue.com, Stationery Trends Magazine, Makeup.com, the 2015 and 2013 Louie Awards, Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine, The Portland Egoist, Style Me Pretty, and “The Best Photo Cards” Ebook by Dasha Wagner.
